Local Partners

Part of our sustainability effort includes making sure that we use as many local products as we can. This focus has gotten even closer to home with our expanding Campus Grown projects. Beginning in September 2019, Chef Steven Graves and his culinary team started creating Campus Grown special salads, using ingredients grown straight from the vertical aeroponic Tower Gardens® at O-House and produce from UGArden.

We also source breads from Athens-based Luna Baking Co., coffee from Jittery Joe's all over campus, and have recently introduced locally produced Squeeze King lemonade in the Market at Tate! Tea from UGArden is also available at Tate, among other items. Getting even more local, we are looking to eventually utilize more items that were Campus Grown, such as produce grown in our vertical Tower Gardens®
