Golf Course Wildlife

 

The UGA Golf Course maintains a variety of sustainability initiatives to make sure the course has a low operational impact on the environment. Did you know that there are more than 100 different species identified on our course? The course has wildlife housing built for birds and bats as well as plots of wildflowers for pollinators. We also leave natural turtle habitats, such as ones created by fallen trees, undisturbed. Our insecticides were chosen specifically because they do not affect pollinators. And wildlife is encouraged to move freely throughout the property.
