Auxiliary Services values outstanding service and excellence amongst staff and seeks to recognize and reward exemplary performance. Our employees serve an essential role in furthering the Auxiliary Services mission to provide exceptional customer service to The University of Georgia campus.

Individuals who represent Auxiliary Services with outstanding customer service may be nominated by their peers and management to become members of an honor society known as the Circle of Excellence. These peer-driven awards are designed to encourage exceptional performance, reward excellence in service towards others, and foster healthy teamwork to achieve extraordinary results that benefit the University of Georgia community.

Nominations

Nominations for the 2023 Circle of Excellence Awards will be received online between March 29 – May 5.  Individuals, students, and/or teams may be nominated multiple times; however, each nomination should be unique. Current members of the Auxiliary Services Circle of Excellence are not eligible for future nominations. Employees within any Auxiliary Services unit may be nominated for the awards below.

This award recognizes an individual who serves as an example to others by providing continuous outstanding service towards others (customers, coworkers, supervisors, students, faculty, staff, or the public.)

Individuals must be actively employed, full-time, and benefits-eligible, and have a minimum of two years of service within the Auxiliary Services department to be eligible for this award.

This award recognizes a student employee who serves as an example to others by providing continuous outstanding service towards others (customers, coworkers, supervisors, students, faculty, staff, or the public.)

Individuals must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Georgia, must be employed in a unit into their 2nd semester or employed for two complete semesters or longer, work a minimum of 12 hours per week, and available to continue working through the following semester to be eligible for this award.

This award recognizes a team that works together in an exceptional way to provide extraordinary service to their department and the University of Georgia community.

Teams of 2 or more employees may be nominated for this award. Each team member must be actively employed, full-time and benefits eligible, within Auxiliary Services.

This award recognizes an individual who embodies the WIN motto (Welcome Innovation Now.)  This individual enthusiastically pursues excellence while performing their daily tasks and seeks ways to improve each day, both personally and professionally. This individual presents innovative ideas for how to solve existing issues to make Auxiliary Services better each day. Both the individual with the idea and the person who best enabled the implementation of the improvement are honored through this award.

Employees must be actively employed, full-time, and benefits eligible, and have presented at least one WINning idea to be eligible for this award. The winner of this award can honor the individual who assisted and fostered this idea into action, such as a supervisor or mentor.

Selection

Circle of Excellence inductees will be selected by a diverse committee of peers within the Auxiliary Services Division. The committee will review each nomination and select a group of finalists that will be reviewed by the Associate Vice President of the Auxiliary Services Division. The final selection of inductees will be made by the Associate Vice President. Honorees will be announced and inducted into the Circle of Excellence recognition ceremony on July 24.
